About Me

I am Iliana Sardi, a Clinical Psychologist and Systemic-Relational Psychotherapist.
My professional and personal journey has taken me across several European countries—Bulgaria, Greece, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom—where I studied and worked in diverse contexts and cultures. This path has enriched my training with multiple perspectives and helped me develop a multicultural view of psychology and human relationships.

I hold a Laurea Magistrale (Master’s degree) in Clinical Psychology and Counselling from the University of Sofia (Bulgaria), a Master’s in Health Psychology from Leiden University (Netherlands), and a specialization in Systemic-Relational Psychotherapy from ISCRA (Modena), completed in part at the Family Institute in Wales. Over the years, I have deepened my expertise in psychotraumatology and dissociative disorders, integrating updated, evidence-based clinical tools.

My therapeutic practice is eclectic and integrative: I draw on methods and techniques from different psychotherapeutic models, adapting them to each person’s specific needs. I like to describe therapeutic models as different languages: some therapists are monolingual (one approach), some bilingual (two approaches), and some “polyglot”, able to integrate multiple therapeutic languages. My training allows me to work as a polyglot therapist, selecting the most suitable tools for each step of your path.

Beyond techniques, what I consider truly essential is building a solid therapeutic alliance, grounded in mutual trust and active collaboration.

My experience includes:

- Clinical: Individual, couple, and family psychotherapy, especially for trauma-related experiences, relationship difficulties, anxiety, and mood disorders.

-  Organizational: consulting and research on workplace wellbeing, prevention of work-related stress, and health promotion in organizations.

-  Academic & Research: publications and participation in European projects.

I am currently based in Pesaro and online, offering sessions in Italian, English, and Greek—also supporting expatriates and those who need more flexible pathways.
